For idea elaborating and final design developing elapsed 3 long years.Prime mover was build in first order for self purpose forestry forwarder, which could be more reliable in estonian conditions and which exploitation charges could be vastly less as with scandinavian machines. Estabilished in the year of 1996 already own private company Iftar and having vision how could look-like modern estonian forwarder, Mr. Ivo Jürgenson started already in the same year construct the machine. After long development period, in the year 1998 was finally ready first forwarder which carried diminutive name"Ksjoma". The
name was humorical, and symbolized estonian engineer implemented project, which was mostly completed from east orign components. Present prototype machine was the predecessor for later Metsis machines. Forwarder look-liked as other 80's and 90's built machines in Finland and Sweden. "Ksjoma" was built mostly from russian components, cabin and engine were "loaned" from Belarus agricultural tractor, also russian orign were working hydraulic pump and transmission components, like differentials and wheel planetary hubs. Creator self built were machine frames and transmission boggie axle housings, loading area components, like loading bunks and gate. Crane was homemade Siim 33. Operating hydraulic components were italian orign and drive hydraulic components Czech orign. Inspired from first successful project, Ivo Jürgenson started at glance construct already next machine, which was completed in 2000. Rised idea use brand name Metsis, which was already later trademark. For next new model was owned also model number - MF808. In order machine no.2 was completed similary as early version, but from hydraulic side there were used already known trademark components. MF808 drive hydraulics were from company Sauer-Sundstrand, operating hydraulics from famous VOAC/Parker. Machine crane was world famous Loglift, model F61FT100 with 10 meters reach. Forwarder was operated already with electrical joysticks. More inspired from realization, made eager estonian man also third self made machine, which "born" year was 2003...
